Australians from multicultural backgrounds have the cultural knowledge and language skills to advance Australia’s interests on the global stage. These untapped skills enable Australians from multicultural backgrounds to play an active role to change the way Australia relates and engages with the world. With these opportunities, what different perspectives can multicultural communities bring to Australia’s foreign policy priorities? How can the federal government encourage Australians from multicultural backgrounds to contribute to Australia’s global role?
To discuss these questions, come and join the Hon Tanya Plibersek MP, Deputy Leader of the Opposition and Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development in a Q&A discussion. The event will be hosted by Poliversity and facilitated by Peter Khalil, ALP Candidate for Wills and a former senior international adviser to the Australian Government.
Entry is complimentary. We encourage Australians from multicultural backgrounds and multicultural organisations to attend and participate.
